From paper to the Internet

"The Web Changes Everything" has become a popular term these days. Albeit true only to some extent, facts are that the web has changed and will change a lot within the agricultural extension service.
In 1996 the Danish Agricultural Advisory Centre decided to begin publishing its production of papers and handbooks online. Since then, more than 20,000 documents in addition to a number of online applications have been published - and much more is on the schedule. Dina helped jumpstart this process and has been an important player all the way up to now.
As the possibilities and complexities of the web are exploding, the need for collaboration on content as well as on technology is as large as ever. In the future, a key issue will be to serve the adviser or farmer with information and decision support, precisely tailored to his needs. To fulfill this goal, data and knowledge from many sources need to be collected and combined in new ways. A challenge? Sure, and we are ready to face it!
