The Danish Informatics Network in the Agricultural Sciences is inviting to an informal workshop:

Analysis of phylogeny and reticulate-evolution

21 November 2003 at KVL, Frederiksberg.

The workshop in 2003 will cover data analysis of phylogeny and reticulate-evolution in addition to research topics of the participants.

Presentation of methods to investigate reticulate evolution. Reticulate evolution in molecular sequences is cause by recombination or gene conversion. The evolution cannot be described by a single phylogeny when the molecular sequences have recombined.

Presentation of problems with data-analysis. To secure active communication, participants not presenting topics in relation to reticulate evolution should present their own data.

The participants are invited to do a presentation of 15 – 30 min. in relation to reticulate evolution or a presentation of 15 – 30 min mainly in relation to practical data-analysis. ______________________________________________________________________________

As this is a Dina-Workshop, there will be no course fee and lunch at KVL is included.

Program details will be available at www.kursus.kvl.dk/taxmol.

Please sign up before 1 November 2003 to: hech@kvl.dk

and include a title of your presentation either with presentation of methods to investigate reticulate evolution or presentation of problems with analysis of your data.
